Linda Monroe served on the Palm Beach Gardens city council from 1980 until retiring from her seat in 1998. In 1984, she became the Vice Mayor under Michael Martino who would, by 1985, hand her the gavel (pictured) as she became the first and only female mayor of Palm Beach Gardens (1985-1986). Also pictured is Don Kiselewski (left).
