Edward Eissey, an icon in education, was an educator in Palm Beach County for over 46 years. He was the principal at both the first junior high school and the first high school in Palm Beach Gardens. After years as a teacher, principal, and administrator, he became vice president of the north campus of Palm Beach Junior College in 1975, and then president from 1978 to 1997. The campus was named for him in 1990.
