Description

The city's first hotel, a six-story, 126-room Holiday Inn, opened for business in 1970 on PGA Boulevard. It was built by Pappalardo Construction Co. on a seven-acre site close to the PGA Headquarters. The hotel served the area's winter visitors as well as the city's many businesses. It also became a social hub for dining and other social events for local residents.
