Description

Florida's largest shopping mall at the time, The Gardens Mall opened in the fall of 1988 at 3101 PGA Boulevard. This urban center, developed by the Forbes Company, was designated to be the centerpiece for the city's commercial and business district and was carved out of 400 acres of scrub land and palmettos. The mall was originally called The Gardens of the Palm Beaches, but was later shortened to The Gardens Mall.
