Plant Drive Park opened in 1965 and become a small, but notable location for significant events within the Palm Beach Gardens Community. The Boy Scout Color Guard, Troop 132, included Mark Hathaway and Mickie Pullen, who raised the flag along with Jimmy Joy and Ricky Willetts, all color bearers.
